Research interests:
small and medium-sized enterprises sector, mergers and
acquisitions, economic policy, regional policy and knowledge economy
development.
Aneta Sokół Ph.D. graduated from the
Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management of the University of Szczecin – in
she completed master’s degree program at the faulty of: Trade and Marketing,
specialty: Foreign Trade. In terms of scientific and research activity, Aneta
Sokół Ph. D. has been focused for a few years on issues regarding small and
medium-sized enterprises sector, mergers and acquisitions, economic policy,
regional policy and knowledge economy development, which are subject of
interest of over 130 non-serial and serial publications of her authorship, not
only in Poland but also abroad. After completion of master’s degree program, as
time passed by, she undertook initiatives leading to support of the scientific
and didactic development of not only students, but also young economists within
the whole area of Poland.
She obtained scientific degree of Ph.D. in
economics at the Faculty of Management and Service Economics of the University
of Szczecin in 2004. Dr. Aneta Sokół received
a prize of the President of the West Pomeranian University of
Technology, at her workplace between 1998 and 2006, for her Ph.D. dissertation
entitled Preference
assessment within the scope of support for development of small and
medium-sized enterprises with an example of the electromechanical industry in
Poland. Then, Dr. Aneta Sokół started working at the Faculty of
Management and Service Economics of the University of Szczecin at the
Department of Enterprise Economics.
Furthermore, at aforementioned
Department, Aneta Sokół Ph. D. is
responsible for implementation of an international educational package L.I.F.E.
– Live International Future Experience within the program of the Minister of
Science and Higher Education, “Innovation creator – support for innovative
academic entrepreneurship”, which is focused on support for modern education
connected with science and business (e-learning). Students, as well as
entrepreneurs supported by a coordinator (Aneta Sokół Ph.D.) and lecturers
(Anna Drab–Kurowska Ph.D., Joanna Markiewicz Ph.D.) and monitored by i.a.
La’Met[1] and
Institute of Knowledge and Innovation in Warsaw, will be able to participate in
a professional project of a specific company, non-governmental organization,
association or foundation. Purpose of the didactic process is to introduce the
student in problems of knowledge within the scope of skills in solving
practical problems at enterprises.
Aneta
Sokół Ph.D. participated in some events, which provided her with an opportunity
to use acquired scientific knowledge in practice: Cooperation in preparation an
expert opinion entitled: Indicators at the program and priority level for
SOP-ICE: prospect of achieving target values, sources of data, proposed
calculation methodology. The expert opinion were prepared for the Ministry of
Regional Development in cooperation with CASE-Doradcy; speaker at the
conference “Innovation as economy driver” organized by
the Voivodeship Labor Office in Szczecin in 2009; expert in project foresight
Subject Matter Expert Panel within the area of labor market within a regional
project entitled “Creation, development and update of the Regional Innovation
Strategy for the West Pomeranian Voivodeship” 2010. Furthermore, since the
beginning of 1998, Aneta Sokół has cooperated with the West Pomeranian
enterprises running training sessions and courses within the scope of broadly
defined entrepreneurship. She has been a member of the Polish Economic Society
since 2008, Polish Association for Knowledge Management since 2009 and an
expert and member of the board (since 2011) at the
Institute of Knowledge and Innovation since 2008, Polish
representative associations Magnanimitas in Czech Republic since
2011, Polish representative member of the board in The International
Academic Network “ HPD CEEUS“ (Human
Potential Development in Central and Eastern European Union States), Mykolas
Romeris University, Lithuania since 2012.
